Twenty Four
This was taken after we had been to the top of the Empire State Building. We were heading towards the Flatiron Building (see previous post). However, on the way be bought a delicious pizza from a 7/11 store. Not the Empire Pizza. It was delicious. We ate it in a small park with the Flatiron Building before us and the Empire State behind us. Perfect.

Twenty Three
This is The Flatiron Building, originally the Fuller Building. It is located at 175 Fifth Avenue in the borough of Manhattan, New York City. Not the most obvious angle from which it is photographed. There are two reasons for this. [1] the sun was directly at me shining down Fifth Avenue so the light was not great for capturing detail, and [2] what’s wrong with being different.
As you can see, the sun was out. It was bright but a bit cool [but slowly warming up]. This was taken after we had been to the top of the Empire State Building.

I suppose almost every one recognises the Statue of Liberty. So this photo does not really need a title.
When we set of on the ferry it was quite hazy but warmish. But as the day progressed the temperature warmed up nicely and visibility improved.

Nineteen
Well, you’ve seem a busy hat shop, now here’s a busy shirt shop. It’s the same shop as in my last post.
Each wall was covered with shirts. Not the best composition but, for me, a fun holiday snap.
Eighteen
Hats for the last post. This time it’s polo shirts. This time my mum was on a shopping spree. This was during one of our night time trips into Broadway. I also have a photo of the actual racks head on so it looks more like my hats shot. However, I liked this shot as it was full of people. In fact, the shop was very busy even though it was about 10 pm.
This photo, like my last Broadway shot, was taken with my dad’s Olympus camera with the fish eye. Great for tight spots like this shop. Thinking about posting at least one more proper Broadway shot. I’m quite busy at the moment as exams are coming up. So at least it easier not having to take photos at the moment and having so many holiday photos.
Seventeen
One of the things on my shopping list was snap backs, or as my dad calls them base ball caps. What does he know?!
I knew what I wanted but still found it difficult to find. It was a particular Miami Heat snap back. This was one shop that was recommended to me (I can’t remember the name now). As you can see they had lots of hats. One wall was just hats and the opposite wall was just trainers. Didn’t find what I wanted but the amount of stuff was impressive and I think made for an interesting photo.

Sixteen
Yes, I know that this is usually just called the Guggenheim.
We had rushed here from Ground Zero (we only walked around the outside because we were running short of time). As it was early evening and we hadn’t had time for lunch I was feeling hungry. There was quite a queue to get into the Guggenheim and mum suggested that dad and I stay in the queue while she pop to the main road which was next to Central Park and get some street food. It was worth it. My first chilli dog. DELICIOUS. Both dad and I loved them. Mum was really nice and popped off and got us another each!
Inside the Guggenheim, the building was very interesting. My dad is not too keen on modern art. I sort of understand what he means. Quite often we would comment, “I could do that.”

Fithteen
This is Broadway. Broadway itself is very, very long. This is the bit that most people think of. Where all the theatre shows and cinema films happen.
I loved Broadway. It was about 15 minutes walk from our hotel and we came here at least half of our nights in New York. I liked the lights, the buzz of the crowds and that many shops were open very late.
Both my dad and I took photos here. We brought his Olympus as neither of us wanted to carry anything bigger or heavier.
